El Rancho Grande originally began in 1950 on Boulder between 6th and 7th and has been in its current location on Historic Route 66 since 1953.

Come experience Tulsa’s Tex-Mex tradition, celebrating more than 60 years on historic Route 66. We’re nestled between downtown and mid-town, on Eleventh Street just west of Utica.

El Rancho Grande has always been known as a place where delicious food and gracious service turns many first-time visitors into weekly regulars. Now, more than 60 years later, we are proud to say that a number or those early regulars are still our well-treasured friends, greeted by name as they come in to enjoy a hearty house specialty and an icy margarita.

Sixty years is a long time, and while there is much to be said for change, there is even more to be said for tradition. We believe we have found the perfect balance between the two, and we’d love the opportunity to share it with you. From the historic neon sign that still adorns the entrance of our one and only location, to our “Tulsa’s Best” cheese enchiladas and other house specialties, we constantly strive to preserve the restaurants 60 year history.

Generations of Tulsans keep coming back for the most flavorful enchiladas and “Tulsa’s Best Margarita.” Other specialties include soft tacos covered in delicious queso, spicy Chile Colorado and homemade tamales.

Dining at El Rancho Grande is a leisurely affair, where patrons can relax in a clean comfortably atmosphere. Let our experienced servers treat you to a taste of our time-tested recipes and you’ll discover why we’ve been a local favorite since 1953.

  • People are obsessed with the neon sign (for good reason!) but I also think the one on the side of the building (by the parking lot) is nifty!

  • We love to try new places to eat just for fun. Part of what we enjoyed about this restaurant is that it is one of the oldest establishments in Tulsa operating in its original location on historic Route 66. The chips and salsa were tasty- we found the salsa hot but couldn't stop eating it!!! My husband had the chicken burrito and I had the fish tacos. We both enjoyed our meals.
